hi! i'm ayush nayak, and since 2004 i've been finding
fascinating problems. currently I'm doing math and astrophys at
mit, working at
x/xai, and going on way too many trips.
i live life to collect stories: turning a hackathon into a rave,
dumpster diving 50k, living out of a lifeguard tower for two
nights, and (allegedly) stealing over 20 signs. in my past life,
i was a
yc s24
founder, working on observability, model behavior and data work.
things i'm interested in:
everything about llm's, especially sft data, multi-llm networks,
surfing,
film photography, drones, cinematography, astronomy, skateboarding, design,
crypto, silicon, e-guitar, hardware,
3d art, and prediction markets.
in the past i
designed and built
bleeding-edge 3-valued transistors
independently
to discovering transit-timing-variable exoplanets, and launching
a chip-sat to the moon.
i'd love to talk about anything interesting, so feel free to
reach out to me!
